Music, an Art
Ahh Music, the art of rhythms, tones, and expression that penetrates our souls, from genres such as hip-hop, rap, house, R&B, gospel, and the classic jazz. We love music, some of us more than others. We have our favorites, which make us smile and dance, and we have our worst, those that remind us of a breakup or a memory not worth remembering.
The fact is that music has been a part of humanity since the beginning of time, and as humans have evolved, so has our music. Every other second, a new song is being made, produced, or released, at such a pace that we can’t keep up with it, but this can also be a nice problem because what we then have is a wide range of catalogs. We get to choose from millions of different options, which vary from each other. And those of us who have taste and an appetite for art, we are finding ourselves in this abundance and amazement of a creation.
Music, our Joy
We listen to Music everywhere, in our cars while heading off to work, in our bathrooms while taking a shower, on our jogs and exercise sessions, and for some to help us sleep, and even I’m a culprit of this. Seems a lot right, at this point music is helping us get by, to cope, and it’s become our attachment.
Music, our cure
People have become too dependent on music, like, can we even survive without it? The truth is in plain sight, and unfortunately, I might have to be the one to burst the bubble, because we have become addicts. Real addicts, I tell you. Like a stoner on Meth, like a monkey to a banana, we as humans have become the monkey, and music has become our banana.
Music has become our source of life. When we are depressed, music becomes our cure, when we are stressed, music becomes our drug, and when we are lonely, music becomes our friend, and one might say I do need a cure, I can’t operate without a drug, and don’t we all want a friend? And yes, I do sympathize, but at what point will we wake up and smell the coffin?

I see many of us have become like zombies on the streets, with a phone in our hand and our headsets on our heads with volume to the max regularly. Okay, you be the judge, is this normal? I sometimes wonder, like, are our eardrums even functional? And don’t even get me started on the phone.
Music is magical, music is powerful, but its power is meant to be controlled. Shouldn’t we be the ones playing the music, and not music playing us? Let’s use music as the tool which passed the test of time. And remember, you are not a monkey, and music is not your banana.
