Most of us are alike; we watch a YouTube video here and there. Sometimes it’s to get by, to make time fly, or maybe it’s to learn, and other times we do indulge simply for entertainment and inspiration.

We want to be entertained, educated, and amused by the videos we watch. It’s as if video has become our life support, and it has, let’s admit it. What if I told you that all this consumption was actually preparing you for something bigger than life, something bigger than yourself, and it’s been right under our noses, like literally? We have literally been prepared to create!

The student must become the master

Yes, to create, to build, to launch, basically to reach greater heights. And if you, in this busy life, begin to pause and ponder, you would realize that I’m on to something. It’s that time for the teacher to become the master, for the king to appoint his heir, and for nature to take its course.

Those videos you watched of artists were meant to make you see the artist in you. You have been inspired enough; you have already surpassed your 10,000 hours of learning the craft. Fetch your notebook and begin to write songs. Get your brushes and paint, step into your craft, and get your idea out there; maybe you were called to be the next entrepreneur, businessman, or company owner, but just how would you know if you only ever consume?

You have already done the learning, and you have plenty of inspiration. So, isn’t it time to step into that person you were meant to be? Surely you weren’t meant to consume your way to death or remain a fan forever.

Capture your goals, dreams, and aspirations, and don’t look back. Remember to post your work, create a portfolio, and once you have achieved, give as you have received. Become that bridge and, in due time, create your channel. Who knows, you might become the next big thing. So, inspire the next generation and keep the cycle going.
